It will take the reader through an enchanting story of how a butterfly is born and his dreams of going to the moon to see if it is real or just a ballon. So, join the journey of a small caterpillar resting on a milkweed leaf, daydreaming about his future adventures. As it awakens to the world around it, the caterpillar ponders the challenges and the mysteries it will face. Despite its cramped space and limited view, it longs for exploration and companionship. After a period of growth and change, the caterpillar finally transforms into a beautiful butterfly, ready to explore the world.

To the Moon and Back

To the Moon and Back is the second book of the five-book series titled “Miss Daisy Series”. In this book, the main character “Buttercup” will take the readers on a trip to the moon to see if it is real or just a balloon, along with his newly founded friends from book one. On their journey, they stop to rest and quinch their thirst on some flowers and rotten fruit, while Buttercup teaches them the “Moon Song”. Once on the moon they discover some interesting places, but just as they are getting ready to return home, they spot some glowing butterflies. This entices their curiosity to explore further, but they will have to leave this for another day, as they must return home before midnight. This will enhance the readers’ curiosity for the third book in the series where they discover what the glowing butterflies were! Young readers will find this book captivating seeing the many treasures the butterflies uncovered and will spark their imagination which will aid in keeping them engaged in the joy of exploring new and different things for years to come.

Returning Home

Returning Home is the third book in the five-book series titled “Miss Daisy Series”. In this volume, Buttercup leads the butterflies on their journey home. Upon returning, Buttercup proposes that each butterfly declare their ownership, at which point they discover that several have suffered due to a drone collision, resulting in injuries and losses. Kevin recounted the incident that left him seriously wounded and unable to fly, while two butterflies did not survive and are now referred to as Moon Butterflies—the glowing figures witnessed by the group upon departing the moon. The narrative offers young readers an engaging story of resilience, portraying how the butterflies respond to adversity and adapt to change. The book aims to support children in understanding transformation and recovery from difficulties, empathizing that change is a regular part of life and does not signify finality.

Their mission: to help these special butterflies reach the moon. Along the way, they discover two inventive butterflies building a magical, iridescent rocket. This shimmering creation may be the key to safely carrying all the special needs butterflies to the moon and back. Together, the group rallies around the idea, proving that teamwork and imagination can overcome any obstacle. Young readers will find this book captivating seeing how the butterflies work together as a team to resolve an issue that will be beneficial to everyone. This will assist the young readers in how to work as a team for the better of the group.

Moon Butterflies

Moon Butterflies is the final book in the five-book series titled “Miss Daisy Series.” In this story, Buttercup reveals to his friends that everyone gains the ability to fly on the moon. To explore as much of the lunar surface as possible, he organizes everyone into pairs. As they journey across the moon, each pair meets some Moon Butterflies. When the group reunites, Buttercup invites everyone to share a single word capturing their experiences. He then asks Willow (a musician Moon Butterfly) to compose a song using these words, which the group sings together as they depart for home. The narrative provides young readers with an understanding of various ways individuals leave earth and transform into Moon Butterflies, presented in a thoughtful and gentle manner. Through interactions with each Moon Butterfly, readers learn about their sense of tranquility and freedom from suffering. The Moon Butterflies wish to convey to their loved ones, they’re in good hands, they’re at peace, and all is well with their souls!
